This was originally a 9 holes course designed by Hawtree and Sons in 1962. In 1992 it was extended to an 18 hole Par 69 course.
Nestling in a wooded valley this parkland course stretches over low hills with a brook meandering its way throughout the course.
Not a long course but a very pleasant one to play as the mature woodland surrounding the course give it a rare natural beauty.
The course has a number of lovely holes namely the 1st and 18th while the 3rd stands in company with the most scenic Par 3’s in Portugal as you hit down to a green surrounded by trees.
"Lisbon Sports Club was in excellent condition - but a bit difficult for my group!"
- Mr. M. Townsend -
"Lisbon golf club is always in good condition and we loved it.Fantastic staff and very friendly. When we played we were the only people on the course !!"
- Mr. B. Godwyn -
"Lisbon Sports - very wet but beautiful, old course; again not an easy course not due to the length of the holes but the design; service as can be expected from a private club"
- Ms. P. Leenheer -
"Lisbon Sports Club, which is a truly great layout and in exceptional condition given the harsh rain the preceding 48 hours. This is a hidden gem and should remain off the beaten tracks for the likes of the golf society crowds who would a) find it extremely hard to play anywhere near to their handicaps and b) may not appreciate the historic facilities (compared to the modern, Americanised versions of golf courses that are ubiquitous)!"
- Mr. G. Stokes -
