This course was first established in 1890 by a group of British port wine merchants and is the oldest golf Club in Portugal and the 4th oldest in continental Europe.
The club values its traditions and the 18 holes of links golf reflect this. The course in modern terms is relatively short and if you keep the ball on the narrow fairways and out of the prevailing northerly winds you will score well.
The clubhouse also respect the historic origins of the club and the traditions of the game.
"It was in very good condition. The green were particularly fast. It was a very fair course, plenty of room... No need for a buggy as the course is flat & the trollies are of good quality."
